Some times I truly believe I don't belong in this world. I feel like my mind is too open, my heart is too big and I care about everything unlike most people who claim no too. My feelings get hurt a lot because of how sensitive I am to others and the things happening around me. I have a really hard time relating to "not caring" form of thinking. Lack of caring isn't a good quality. It shows that you lack empathy. Telling yourself that you don't care about anything all the time will create a false reality of you not caring, when all your doing is storing anger, sadness and many other emotions that should be expressed or at least thought about. People actually care more than they would like anyone to know. There should be nothing wrong with being truthful and open but this world we live in can make it extremely hard. Making fun of things that shouldn't ever be laughed at. It get sad and overwhelming at times. Anyways, I'm sure we all have these type of days. If you are ever feeling lost, unwanted, confused and/or misunderstood, I have my top 7 tips that can possibly help you get out of your funk.
Tip #1. Pray - praying should help you to relieve stress. Giving the problem to a higher power to help you to gain understanding and guidance.
Tip #2. Meditation/ Breathing techniques- this should help you with self-awareness,motivation, control and the calming of unstable emotions.
Tip #3. Talking to loved ones- the people who love you the most will give you a perspective of yourself that you can't always see. They know who you are and where your heart is. Most times these are the people who believe in you, love you and respect your process.
Tip #4. Removing negativity- misery loves company so remove anything that may be effecting your growth or happiness. This includes and not limited to people, conversations and situations.
Tip #5. Cleanliness- Keeping your space clean and organized is also a way to remove negativity. Clutter or mess causes confusion and makes you feel like you trapped in a place your not happy with.
Tip #6. Do something fun- doing activities that invokes positive energy is always good. Pulling out that stress by keeping your mind focus at he task at hand.
Tip #7. Treat yourself- whether big or small, go and buy yourself something you wanted not needed wanted. You don't have to splurge but even if its a tee shirt or a fancy dessert. Go out and get it that will make you feel good as well just having something new, fancy and just for you.
Bonus tip: Dancing and singing- when alone or in front of a crowd do either and it will cheer you up as well.... no sad songs. Go to your favorite place to reflect another awesome way to get out of your funk.
If none of my tips help create your own. I advice you talk to a therapist of some sorts because some times your issues maybe deeper than you can handle alone. Never be afraid to seek professional help if you truly need it. But that's just ME!
